STANDARD WARRANTY

 90 DAY PART REPLACEMENT WARRANTY

• This warranty will protect the original purchaser on all new and used parts for a period of 90 days from the invoice date for the replacement of the failed part
• This coverage is included on all new or used parts unless otherwise stated on the front of the invoice.
• This warranty is non-transferable

EXTENDED WARRANTIES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

 6 MONTH PART REPLACEMENT WARRANTY

• This warranty is available on all new and used parts.
• This warranty will protect your investment in this part for 6 months from the date of the sale located on the invoice.
• This warranty does not cover Labor costs unless the labor warranty is purchased as well.
• This warranty is not transferable.

 1 YEAR PART REPLACEMENT WARRANTY

• This warranty is available on all new and used parts.
• This warranty will protect your investment for 1 year from the date of the sale located on the invoice. This warranty does not include any labor costs unless the Labor warranty is purchased.
• This warranty is not transferable.

 3 YEAR PART REPLACEMENT WARRANTY

• This warranty is available on all new and used parts.
• This warranty will protect your investment for 3 years from the date of the sale state on the invoice. This warranty does not include any labor costs unless the labor warranty is purchased.
• This warranty is not transferable.

Labor Warranty

• This warranty is available on all new and used parts and is only offered to certified facilities.
• This warranty must be purchased at time of receipt of product.
• This warranty will protect your investment for a one-time use. If one time investment is used, original purchaser is able to purchase an additional Labor Warranty.
• This warranty time span is available for the length of the warranty purchased to the applied part.
• COOKS AUTO PARTS will cover labor for $50 an hour flat rate Mitchell book time.
• This warranty is available for purchase as an addition on both the standard warranty and extended warranty

POLICY OF WARRANTY

 This warranty applies to Cooks Auto Parts recycled parts only. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the part and it is still installed in the vehicle for which it was originally purchased. The warranty period on any part starts at the time of sale, not upon installation. This warranty is non-transferable.  If any defect is discovered during the warranty period, Cooks Auto Parts must be informed immediately. All claims must be accompanied with the original sales receipt and any other documentation reasonably requested by COOKS AUTO PARTS. Defects must be verified and all repairs must be authorized by COOKS AUTO PARTS. All transportation costs are excluded for this warranty. COOKS AUTO PARTS reserve the right to repair, replace or refund the purchase price of any part at its option. Any repairs or work must be pre-authorized before work is started. Warranty will be voided if any repairs or work (including but not limited to removing the part) is performed without prior written authorization from Cooks Auto Parts. Authorized repairs, replacements or refunds will satisfy all obligations of COOKS AUTO PARTS under this warranty. Any improper use or abuse, including but not limited to racing, pulling, overheating or low oil in engines or transmissions, neglect, careless handling or damage resulting from improper installation, modification or repair will void this warranty. Existing problems with the vehicle that will cause damage to the recycled part will also void the warranty. Melting of heat tabs installed by COOKS AUTO PARTS will be considered evidence of overheating. All labor costs including, but not limited to the cost of moving attached external parts from the purchaser’s old part to COOKS AUTO PARTS’s part, seals, gaskets, fluids, and similar supplies are specifically excluded from this warranty. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including the warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, application or use. The liability and obligation of COOKS AUTO PARTS under this warranty shall not exceed the price of the part as shown on the original invoice and shall not include any inconvenience, transportation, towing, downtime, loss of vehicle, direct or indirect consequential damage. Labor expenses coverage is for individuals who have purchased an extended warranty from COOKS AUTO PARTS only. Labor expenses will only be paid on motors, transmissions, transaxles, axle assemblies, differentials and carrier assemblies. No action by COOKS AUTO PARTS under this warranty shall extend the original warranty period or alter its obligations. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and any cause of action must be filed within. COOKS AUTO PARTS’s has the right to request a secondary evaluation by a certified investigator of the part prior to fulfillment of warranty claim.

TRANSMISSION WARRANTY

 Improper detent adjustment, low fluid level, not using proper fluid, not replacing new filter or broken front pump and improper installation voids all warranties.  All conditions under terms of sale apply. COOKS AUTO PARTS require the buyer to replace front seal, rear deal, pan gasket, filters, and axle shaft seals when applicable prior to installation, as these are not covered by warranty.

ENGINE WARRANTY

COOKS AUTO PARTS warrants to the original purchase the internal parts of its engines to be free of defects for the period shown on the invoice. The parts covered by the warranty are the engine blocks, cylinder heads and valves, cam shafts, connecting rods, bearings, pistons, rings, oil pump, crank shaft, bearings, rocker arms, lifters and other internal parts. Excluded from this warranty are all fuel injection parts, water pump, all electrical parts, hoses, lines, intake and exhaust manifolds and gaskets. COOKS AUTO PARTS requires the purchaser to replace the timing belt and rear main seal prior to installation, as these are not covered by warranty.

Process to file a Warranty Claim

• Contact salesperson and inform of issue with purchased part or parts.
• Salesman reviews warranty claim
• We may request photos of the part or parts in question, and vin of the vehicle
• We may replace part with a functionally equivalent part
• We may ask you to return part for repairs.
• We may refund you the cost of your part, including your shipping cost
• We reserve the right to inspect any item prior to refund or replacement

Warranty Limitations

The buyer hereby acknowledges that due to the nature of used parts, any liability of COOKS AUTO PARTS’s for all causes shall be limited to the price paid for the goods sold or provided. If a part is sold by COOKS AUTO PARTS’s under warranty fails to operate, liability shall be limited to the replacement of the part or a remedy not to exceed the price paid for the part, at COOKS AUTO PARTS’s option.

Labor Guidelines and Rules

Cooks Auto Parts is not responsible for injury or damage sustained during or as a result of the installation of our parts. Maximum Labor payout is $1,500.
